I love having ingredients on hand to make a quick and easy dessert when needed at the last minute. Whether it is a food day at work, a party or you need a small gift this bark candy is simple to make. Since it requires only a few ingredients and can be made to work for any occasion, no matter how busy you are your kids can still help you! My son put the candy hearts on top and taste tested it for me!
I usually make this bark candy at Christmas time using white chocolate, and topping it off with candy canes. It looks so pretty and tastes really great! Since I didn’t get around to making this dessert this year I decided to use the ingredients I had on hand to make a Valentine’s Day treat.
Ingredients:
- Melting Chocolate (any variety, any flavor)
- Topping (I match to the occasion. Conversation hearts for Valentine’s Day)
Directions: Melt chocolate per package label. Once melted spread onto parchment or wax paper. Sprinkle with your topping of choice. Once the chocolate has cooled completely, approximately one hour, break the chocolate into pieces. I try to keep each piece around 1-2 inches.
The variations of this candy are truly endless and they are only limited to your own imagination. Another cute Valentine’s bark candy would be the white chocolate topped with nuts and dried cranberries.

This is too cute! I would have never thought about this, I love peppermint bark, so I'm sure I'll love this too! Thanks so much for posting the recipe, I'm going to share it with my sister. Maybe we can make some for Tuesday!
